Running

• Tower, 4-core, 32 GB ECC — the whole reason the rest exists.
• Four spinning disks in a mirrored pair of pairs. One replaced in year three.
• A fanless mini PC for anything that must survive the tower being down.
• An APC UPS whose battery I have replaced twice, which is cheaper than it sounds.

Retired

A pair of consumer drives that lied about flushing to disk, and a switch that dropped its config every time the power blinked. Both taught me more than the things that worked.
